About BRANDON

Montana has given Brandon Ler’s family a good life for four generations, and he has never lost sight of where he comes from or who he serves. A husband, father, small business owner, and rancher, Brandon was raised on Montana values of hard work, personal responsibility, and respect for the land and the people who built this state.

Chosen by his colleagues to serve as Speaker of the House, Brandon has led on some of the most consequential legislation in Montana history. He carried and passed the largest income tax cut the state has ever seen, putting 750 million dollars back in the pockets of working Montanans. He pushed back on radical environmental activists with legislation responding to the Held v Montana decision and passed his jury trial reform bill to rein in a rogue judiciary and protect the rights of everyday citizens.

Brandon also helped lead the passage of HB 121 to keep men out of women’s bathrooms, helped shepherd legislation to keep men out of women’s sports, and helped pass property tax relief for Montana homeowners.

Brandon believes leadership should be grounded in common sense and real-world experience, not political gamesmanship. He knows what it takes to run a business, work the land, and raise a family in Montana, and he brings that perspective with him every day in the Capitol.

Montana’s best days are still ahead, but there is more work to be done.

Brandon is committed to continuing to cut the income tax and finishing the job by moving Montana toward a flat tax. He will keep fighting to reform a rogue and activist judiciary so the courts follow the law, not political agendas. And he will lead the effort to unlock Montana’s full energy potential while strengthening and protecting the agriculture industry that feeds our state and our nation.
